Lacrosse

Lacrosse is where I spend most of my time.

I'm a USA Lacrosse gold certified boys lacrosse coach, silver certified for the girls game, and a Brian Cain certified mental performance coach. I'm a student of coaching, especially mindset, which is more important than any sport-specific skills I teach.

Equestrian

My daughter, Kate, competes as an equestrian athlete. I've grown to love the sport while supporting her efforts. I built Kate's website at KateEQ.com and I'm currently advising the Interscholastic Equestrian League, and other equestrian organizations, to modernize their digital marketing and operations.I'm also building a mental performance curriculum for equestrian athletes. It's still early, but I'm bringing the same approach to mindset in equestrian sport that's worked for my lacrosse athletes.

Business Coaching

Thirty-plus years guiding teams through constant change at major brands taught me how to successfully lead teams though chaos. But when I moved into coaching sports, I realized something: business is the only elite arena where people perform every day and practice never. Athletes spend 90% of their time practicing, 10% performing. Executives spend 100% performing, 0% practicing. No reps, no film review, no mental training.I call it the Practice Gap, and it's why teams freeze the moment real pressure hits. A merger, a reorg, a market shock... each can stop even the best performers in their tracks. You can't practice skills needed during a merger after its announced. I help professionals design and install practice systems, the same way I install systems on lacrosse fields every week.
